Process

FROM THE EARTH TO THE CUP

Each coffee bean in its habitat is the result of a set of very particular natural conditions, such as latitude, altitude, soil, rainfall and temperature, but also of human procedures.

The role of those who look after the land, each coffee tree and each bean is absolutely crucial. At Beira Douro we respect all efforts to transform raw coffee into roasted coffee through the roasting process. A sensitive process that requires art and mastery.

Packaging

TECHNOLOGICALLY EFFICIENT PACKAGING
Once roasted, coffee has a relatively short shelf life due to the migration of aromatic oils to the surface of the bean. In contact with air, coffee oxidises and ages easily. This is when the type of packaging used is crucial: immediately after roasting, the coffee is packed in technologically efficient packaging in order to preserve all its sensory characteristics.
